Join the Alta Sierra Ski Patrol and National Ski Patrol (NSP)

The Alta Sierra (at Shirley Meadows) Ski/Snowboard Patrol needs new volunteer members. We are looking for enthusiastic and committed new volunteer patrollers who will have a passion for promoting snowsports safety and quality guest services. Responsibilities include observing, assisting and communicating positively with guests, teaming with resort management and staff, enforcing safe practices, and providing high quality safety, rescue
and first aid services.

Benefits include the high satisfaction of providing a valuable community service, as well as free skiing/boarding with lunch, discounts on equipment, complementary lift tickets for family and friends, and the friendship of a fine team of patrol members. First aid/medical training and certification is required (EMT, RN/LPN, MD/DO, PA, Paramedic), and strong intermediate or higher skiing/ boarding ability is preferred, or the desire to learn skiing/snowboarding. Training is provided by the patrol.
